Red-necked Phalarope
Red-necked Phalarope is very rare in Lycoming County. There are recent records of one at Rose Valley Lake April 30, 2020, 5 birds on September 18, 2018 at the Williamsport Dam and another record from May 11, 2015 on the sandbar at Mill St. in Montoursville. The only other known record, which is referenced in The Birds of Pennsylvania (McWilliams and Brauning), was 11 males seen in Antes Fort on May 18, 1980.
