Marsh Wren

Marsh Wren is a somewhat rare, but probably yearly, migrant in Lycoming County. There are no known nesting records in the county, but being within the species' summer range, Marsh Wren is a possible nester. As the name suggests, the species is typically found in wetland areas. The low number of total records is due to insufficient birding coverage of prime habitat for the species as well as the difficulty of locating the species when present. There are also probably records that have been lost or simply never documented.
