King Eider
King Eider is an extreme rarity in Pennsylvania, especially away from Erie. The only Lycoming County record of the species was 12/4/2016 at Rose Valley Lake. The bird, a first-year male, was observed for several hours on the lake before it flew off to the east in the early afternoon. At the time, that sighting was the first in Pennsylvania away from Erie since 2002.
