Common Nighthawk

Common Nighthawk is a fairly common species in Lycoming County during migration in late-May through early-June and August through September, with some summer sightings as well. The species is mostly seen flying at dusk, sometimes in flocks. Very occasionally you can stumble across them perched in a tree during the day.
