Black-and-white Warbler
Black-and-white Warbler is a common and widespread nesting species in Lycoming County. Reports of the species begin in mid-April, which is early by warbler standards, and typically continue through mid-September. The species behaves similarly to a nuthatch, often being found on tree trunks. They can often be located by their song, which sounds a bit like a squeaky wheel.
