Bank Swallow
Bank Swallow is present in Lycoming County from late-April through August. The species nests in the county in at least small numbers. In 2016, a colony of at least 75 birds was confirmed in the county. Bank Swallows are probably underreported because they can be difficult to pick out in groups Northern Rough-winged Swallows and Tree Swallows. The easiest way to find them is to sort through large swallow flocks, looking for the small brownish ones with band across upper breast… usually easier said than done.
