Bald Eagle is a fairly common species year-round and regular nesting species in Lycoming County, with several known sites. They commonly winter in the area and are seen in large numbers during migration. This is one of the more popular birds with the non-birding public, who typically don't realize how common they are, and is a gateway bird that sometimes gets people interested in birds in general.
