American Pipit is a somewhat uncommon migrant and wintering species found sporadically in Lycoming County from September through April. The species is often found along the river and creeks, particularly during migration, but is also found in farmland areas. They are typically found in small flocks, and occasionally larger flocks of a hundred or more.
