American Goshawk
Formerly called Northern Goshawk until 2023. This species might be present year-round in VERY small numbers. Nesting has been confirmed in the past, but any current locations would be kept secret to protect them. The number of nests in PA has crashed in the last decade or two, and there are hardly any left. They do migrate south from Canada in late fall, so a few migrant and wintering birds would be likely in the colder months, but even those are extremely hard to find locally.
