Alder Flycatcher
Alder Flycatcher is a regular, but somewhat uncommon, species in Lycoming County. The species is extremely similar (even by Empidonax flycatcher standards) to the more widespread Willow Flycatcher, with voice being the most reliable way to separate the two. Primarily reported from early-May through June, when they are most likely to be vocalizing. They can be hard to find, but SGL 252 has been reliable, Mill St. always seems to get a few of them and there are some locations in the northern part of the county where they likely breed yearly.
