Lycoming County Summer 2022 Summary
A total of 133 species were reported in Lycoming County during the summer.

Waterfowl
A male Bufflehead was at the Williamsport Dam on 6/5 (BB, DeB, BoB).
Gulls and Terns
A flyover Herring Gull was in Montoursville on 6/23 (BB).
A Caspian Tern was at the Williamsport Dam on 7/9 (DB, MG), providing the first July record of that species in Lycoming County.
Woodpeckers
Red-headed Woodpeckers were present throughout the summer near SGL 252, and likely nested.
Vireos
A singing White-eyed Vireo was at the Williamsport Water Authority on 6/17 (JG), and was refound on 6/18 (BB, DeB).
Finches
A Purple Finch was at Rose Valley Lake on 6/18 (BB).
Chat
A Yellow-breasted Chat was reported at SGL 252 on 6/18 (JG).
